Monday 28 December 2009

Well, that was Christmas Day, all very confusing and busy! Went to Auntie Rachel and Uncle Andy's for the day, joined by Auntie Sarah, Auntie Helen and Uncle Pie, so lots of people to spoil me! By the time I helped open some pressies, eat some food, play some games and have a drink I was exhausted, I am only small! So I managed to find a safe hiding place in Auntie Sarah's new slippers and have a snooze!
I'll have to think carefully about all this and let you know what I have concluded another time! They tell me the celebrations will continue tomorrow!

Friday 25 December 2009

It's Christmas Eve, lots of last minute jobs being done here! Someone left the brandy bottle here, why is it so TALL, really could do with a nip! Told it makes you feel all warm and glowing!

Thursday 24 December 2009

It's Day 23, and Hedgie went carol singing with these friends! Very nice, but they have now told him all the bits I didn't about Christmas! So now he is expecting a stocking, stuffed with exciting things!

Tuesday 22 December 2009

Day 22 - Hedgie is finding it all a bit frantic, lists of things still to be done, wondering if it might be easier if there were two of him, or more!

This week's challenge on UKS, loosely based on the 12 days of Christmas - Geese, already laid and hatched their eggs, do in an hour, took about 25 minutes, and no more than 12 items, used 5, and they were all scraps!

Day 20 - Hedgie is hoping he doesn't have to carry this lot to the post box!

Day 21 - Hedgie is so small on top of the sign, he's sure no one will see him and take him to visit Santa!

Monday 21 December 2009

This is December week 2 challenge on UKS, had to scraplift a lo, and I've lost where I wrote down the lo I lifted, sorry! Had to sew on the lo, have sewn around the pp then sewn lines to represent a web! Also had to use scraps, no problem as I have a huge box of them!Photo is dgc on a spider web climbing frame strung between two huge stone pillars in their local park.

Sunday 20 December 2009

Day 19 - seems there is a person called Father Christmas, aka Santa. I was persuaded to write a letter to him the other week, posted it too, and here is his reply to me! Does that mean he really exists? Hope this reindeer isn't one to pull the sleigh, he looks a little on the small side!

Friday 18 December 2009

Day 18 - the talk today was all about food! Contrary to some who believe hedgehogs only like bread and milk, we love food, meat especially! So when Hedgie was told about turkey for Christmas dinner, with all the trimmings, he was over the moon. For a very small hedgehog, he really does eat a lot, but never seems to grow!

Thursday 17 December 2009

Day 16 - Hedgie has had to learn about being grateful, and he says he is most grateful for all his new found relatives and friends. Here he is with just a few of them!

Day 17 - Well, Hedgie has no idea what is the perfect present for anyone, so he flits around the shop looking at everything and asking if it is suitable! Not sure about his taste here, or who he thought they might be "perfect" for!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday 16 December 2009

Day 15 - and Hedgie has been told about visiting and visitors over the Christmas period, so apart from having well groomed fur he is wondering if he should dress up! Does this little hat suit him? Santa hat might be more suitable!

So much going on I forgot to upload last week's challenge from UKS, so here it is! Had to scrap a winter theme, using non winter colours, and include three of maroon, purple, turquoise, green and yellow, which I have done. Had a sketch to follow, use cotton fabric, the strips down the right hand side, and bling, some obvious, but the pp's are all glittered too! Photo is dd1 trying on clothes in M&S to find a Winter Warmer!

Tuesday 15 December 2009

Day 14 and on learning that he might get a present if he is good Hedgie started thinking! He's written his list for Santa, but can't decide between a fast car, or soft toys, which may be safer for him!

52Q tags 48,49 & 50

Tags 48, 49 and 50 f0r the 52Q challenge!

Monday 14 December 2009

Managed a very quick, simple lo of my sisters dgc keeping cool under the hosepipe, oh to be in Oz!

Day 13, a musical day for Hedgie, learning about Christmas carols and popular songs! He even had a go playing on the piano using one of the children's book of carols! His singing voice isn't up to much though! No solos for him!

Sunday 13 December 2009

Day 10, Hedgie was told about wrapping presents, and the array of paper was bewildering! He didn't know where to start! Wait until he tries to use the sellotape!
Day 11 - Trees, ones that stay indoors, with decorations on them! The only redeeming feature Hedgie could see was that there would be lots of glitter, and sparkle! He has definitely fallen for anything bling!
Day 12 - Hedgie has decided there is a lot of shopping and travelling involved in Christmas! He has decided he likes travelling on trains and looking out of the window! And when he gets tired, he just snuggles up in the shopping bag for a nap!

Thursday 10 December 2009

Page 8 - Hedgie has fallen head over heels in love with all the lights, glitter, sparkle and bling of Christmas! Just can't understand why there are no hedgie ornaments!

Day 9 - Hedgie has discovered the joys of Christmas shopping, so excited at the beginning of the day, going on the train, but so disillusioned by the end of the day, exhausted and ready for bed! Still, he did spend all his pocket money, on himself!

Tuesday 8 December 2009

Day 7 - seems to be lists everywhere today! I sure hope I'm not supposed to remember to do all those things!

Monday 7 December 2009

Day 6 JYC, no memories yet for Hedgie, so he's working hard on making some, might be of crafting, and going round shops having his photo taken in ridiculous places!

This is the week 5 November challenge on UKS. Theme of a birthday or celebration, with colours of red/orange/yellow, to use the computer to manipulate photo or journalling and include some flowers. Photo shows dd1 at a friends birthday celebration meal!

Day 4 JYC, Hedgie doesn't know much about winter weather yet but this friend always has his sleigh handy in the hopes of snow!
Day 5, poor Hedgie learnt about Advent Calendars today, and sad to say he hasn't got one! Maybe next year!

Friday 4 December 2009

Day 3. Today Hedgie learnt all about Christmas cards, and couldn't wait to make one himself, it's attached to the lo! He managed to heat emboss with a little help to hold the heat gun, but it took him ages to choose which stamp to use!

Thursday 3 December 2009

For those of you who know the story of Hedgie, I have to let you know he was persuaded to follow Shimelle's class and Journal Your Christmas! Quite an undertaking for a very small hedgehog who has never celebrated Christmas, or done any crafting, he has so much to learn, so we will keep it simple!
Here is his opening page and explanation!

Here is his manifesto, the photo shows him struggling with a brush and glue covering his album!
Hedgie has noticed there is always a lot of talk about the weather, but more so about Christmas and something called snow! So he nipped in the travel agent to see if he could escape as he didn't like the sound of it! Alas, he has NO money!

Wednesday 2 December 2009

Here are my tags for weeks 46 and 47 of 52Q challenge.

Sunday 22 November 2009

A terrible photo of my lo for week 3 challenge on UKS. We had a sketch to follow, a theme of dark and bright, use ripping, and some unusual material, well I didn't manage the last one! Photo of friends on a day out in Covent Garden!

Wednesday 18 November 2009

This is my lo for week 2 challenge on UKS, set by the Bijoux Belles. We had a sketch to follow, a theme of something mini, use primary colours and circles. Photo is dgs1 with his work bench!

Did this lo at crop last Sunday, lots of cutting of flowers and sticking them on foam pads to layer but pleased with the result. Photo is of dd1 and 2 waiting in the cold at the TV awards last year.

This is very similar to the lo I did a few weeks ago, need versions for each of the girl's albums.

Another similar one, again two albums to do. Decided to do these A4 size and try to use old stash and odds and ends.

Monday 9 November 2009

My sister's grandchildren in Australia have just been on holiday, so a flurry of photos of them having fun!

Another little tag book of old family photos done for a cousin.

Tuesday 3 November 2009

Done for this week's challenge on UKS, Disnet theme, from dd2&3's holiday earlier this year to Florida. Credit crunch, I used all very old stash. Ribbon and buttons, the latter made from funky foam. Stamping. And no journalling. At last I've made a start on one album for them!

Had to quickly scrap this photo of dd3 taken last Saturday, all dressed up for Halloween!
Still on a mission to use up old stash!

And I finally finished this mini book, all about dd1's day out at the sea for her birthday this year. Not sure if she will keep this one or give it to her friend who took her out, so may have to make another one soon!

Had a lot of photos from my sister recently, so here are a few pages done for her!
My niece's birthday picnic on the beach!

Her dgd1 wanted a fairy themed birthday this year, so got a few good photos for this!
