365 week 4

A double lo for week 4 with a selection of pics from the last month showing some aspects of what makes me ME! Used Pencil Lines sketch for this.
We have now done one month of this challenge and I have learnt a lot about myself and other people!

365 Challenge

Page 31, my shadow is always there though not always visible. Reach for it and it disappears! In the same way people are always with you though not always seen! Trying to catch your shadow on sunny days is a great game!

365 Challenge

Page 30, made me feel sad as I don't get hugs much in the week with dh working away from home, and a phone call just isn't the same, but get lots at the weekend! I always used to take my daily hugs for granted but won't now! A hug makes you feel so much better! So instead a pic of dh and dgs2 taken last Sunday.

Weekly Challenge UKS

My lo for this week's challenge, lovely pics of dd2 on her birthday many years ago! She always wanted a Mr Frosty but never got one until she went to uni and bought it for herself! Think it has been used twice, but will keep for her children!

365 Challenge

Page 29, making room for things you enjoy and make you happy. Apart from family, I love to craft, try anything once, but I do love machine knitting and embroidery. I love all the luscious yarns you can buy today, the colours and the textures. My pic shows one box of yarn. My journalling is under the flap with the pic on it, and I included some yarn under the title!

Two simple lo's, one of ds and the other of dh!

DS reckons he doesn't photograph well, but I would disagree! Here he is looking tenderly at his new baby son.

Page 27 - yes, I do feel lucky!

Page 28 - I am all things to many people but most of all I am ME!

365 Challenge

Page 26 - dh's pucker up! Lips are such fantastic things! And he can whistle, I can't!

Page 25 - live each day to it's fullest, you never know what will happen next! Somehow these chocs have lasted since Christmas!

Page 24 - I know I'm lucky! And live in a beautiful world, do my best to keep it that way! This pic was taken at sunrise, just breathtaking!

365 Challenge

Day 22, not really my home, Windsor castle, but apt for my surname of King. Brick and mortar don't make a home, it's the people in it that do!

Day 23, close up with dd1's guinea pig, probably more photogenic than me! Journalling says about not liking my pic taken, but am working on that one!

Latest addition to the family at 5 weeks old, isn't he just too gorgeous!

365 Challenge

My lo for week 3, talking about time for yourself, something I have plenty of!

Page 20, how important it is to smile and laugh! One person guaranteed to make me smile, dgs1.

Page 21, I know all about a balanced diet, just need to practise it! Does need to be balanced with red wine though!

This pic is of my dh's mother, before she became my MIL, but I couldn't have asked for a nicer one!

365 Challenge

Page 17, all about imagination, good or bad? Playing with Bob!

Page 18, about needing time to be alone! Not neccessarily lonely! Another pic of me!

Page 19, Look closely, small things may be beautiful! I chose a flower to show this!

Week 2 12x12 lo for the 365 challenge.
Pic shows dd1 and journalling tells the story for the
Tiny Delights prompt.

LO for this week's challenge on UKS, shows dd2&3 dressed up!

Wednesday 16 January 2008

Not a brilliant pic but shows how dd3 felt on moving day, leaving their first flat to move to a house, a mixture of sadness and excitement!

The front cover of my 365 album for 6x6 lo's.

Pae 15, what is a luxury? Good question!
Tried to follow the photo prompt but not sure I got it right!

Page 16, I always seem to go for muted earthy colours, except for the wallpaper screen on my computer!

365 Challenge

My 12x12 lo for week 1.

After 1 week I realise this is about me and my life!

Page 14, as I don't go out to work I had to think of another way to "attempt" the impossible! I'm not fond of exercise!

Sound asleep, but lay him down and he woke up!
Dgs2 at 3 weeks.

Trains are so exciting when you are 2!

Pleased I got the reflection in the window.

Older pic of dgs1 meeting my best friends.

Monday 14 January 2008

Page 10, my eyes, seen in lot over the past 60 years, have journalled some of these things! they are the windows to my world.

Page 11, surely some nuts in this family! Journalling hidden under pic!

Page 12, so many little delights in my life! Again some journalling hidden in folder.

Page 13, we all have doubts, and deal with them in different ways! Pic of dgs1, at his age do they have doubts?

I find I am now becoming more personal in my interpretations of the prompts, it is certainly a journey!

Sunday 13 January 2008

Love this pic of dd1, long story as to why it is surrounded by snowflakes, thought it just needed scrapping in a simple way!

Wednesday 9 January 2008

365 Challenge

Day 7 Smiling at past perils, sorry about the gruesome pic of dh scar after he had brain tumour removed. Found this far more traumatic than when I had cancer as it was out of my control.

Day 8, being a redhead my colour choices were always a bit limited! Edited pic to show a world with little colour and journalled about the perfection of nature's colours.

Day 9 How I wish I was more impulsive and did silly things like when I was young. Maybe I am now too old! But are we ever too old? Pic shows dd1 being silly at the age of 31.

Two more 6x6 lo's for my sister,
pics of her grandchildren in Oz.

Sunday 6 January 2008

Day 6 for the 365 challenge, all about hands! Mine have been active for a long time and show signs of wear! One journalling says about my wedding ring which I haven't taken off since the day dh put it on my finger. The pic also shows I wear my mum's wedding ring just for sentimental reasons!

Picture taken when my late FIL left one job having been promoted to another, way back in 1970. Has the typicl civil servant look, hence the colours and simple lo.

Saturday 5 January 2008

Simple lo of my sister when we met up for a day last week.

Pages 4&5 for my 365 challenge on UKS. On the second lo my journalling is inside the pocket. I don't like my handwriting very much so am trying to put some on each day.
Couldn't resist this pic of dgs1 having enjoyed his smoothie after a shopping trip!

365 Challenge

Pages done for the 365 challenge on uks, each day we are given a prompt and then interpret it our own way. I have chosen to start with 6x6 lo's but may add different sizes or shapes along the way!
