December Week 2 UKS challenge

Use the sketch provided, 2 photos and scraps! This lo is digi, and I have used photos taken by my ds when he was on holiday.

My niece in Australia sent me this photo of her children, all ready for Christmas, so I had to scrap it! The material advent calendar in the background was made by my sister for her school and has found it's way around the world!

Another digi lo, photo of dgs2 taken in the summer of 2010.

UKS Challenge November Week 3

This week we were challenged to use a greeting as our title, use old papers and either stamp with found items or use a dingbat font. My lo is done digi with one of the first kits I downloaded about 4 years ago and the photo shows dgs4. The owl is the dingbat font.

Another digi lo for the Halloween book, showing dgs3 just after being dressed for the evening!

UKS Challenge November Week 2

I think I have covered all that was asked for in this week's challenge, autumnal colours, different size or shape of photo, bugs, in the photo, and paint, on the background. I will confess the photo was taken by dh on one of our walks! I have used one of Dawn Inskip's lovely collections to make this lo.

Sunday 13 November 2011

Here are four more digi lo's done for the Halloween book.

This shows one of the wall decoration panels.

This is dgs3, not sure if he is laughing or screaming as he alternated between both!

Dd2 dressed in her nurses outfit, complete with rib bone sticking out of the side, and lots of fake blood!
Dd1 and her partner, relaxing!

November week one UKS challenge

This is my lo for November week one challenge on UKS. We had to use a photo we wouldn't normally scrap, this one was taken a couple of years ago for a photo course I did with Cheryl Johnston, of a poor neglected peg left out on the line in all weathers, here it had been raining and I wanted to catch the drops on the line! Also to use hot pink which I think I have done! And the gingham backing is fabric, and there is lace edging on the ribbon.

Halloween

Three digi lo's which will go into a mini book, all taken at a Halloween party hosted by dd2 and her dh.

Dd1 copied some spectacular make up from a You tube video.
We had great fun playing with this blow up spider hoopla, seen here sitting on a little blow up chair that was provided for dgs3.
The Bones family, all in matching costumes!

October week 5 challenge UKS

Remembered to upload October week 5 challenge from UKS! All criteria met although the bling doesn't look very "blingy". The photo is a sculpture that was on display at Polesden Lacey in the summer of 2009.

Mojo returns

After a great scrapping weekend away with friends my mojo seems to have returned!
Here is the lo I have done for this week's challenge on UKS. We had to scrap about a Mum, include three different shapes, some bling and some journalling, all of which I have done. The photo is of my dd3 and her new baby son and the journalling says about time passing when your own baby has her first baby.

Birthday Cake!

Today is dgs3's first birthday, yesterday we had a family party! Dd2 loves the challenge of making a cake, and here is the result! She couldn't make a flat cake like most people would, no, he had to be upright!
We think this is more for the Dad than the baby though! For those, like me, who don't know, the character is Sponge Bob Square Pants, and in the second picture is one of his friends, made from the left over pieces of cake! There was a definite theme  to this party!

I am sure these photos will feature on many lo's soon!

And the cake did taste good too!

June week 4 UKS Challenge

This week's challenge was to use a given sketch, use the colours pink, green and white, and have some rik rak and stitching on the lo. I have used this photo of one of the many elephants that were on parade around London last year, this particular one was inside the John Lewis store on Oxford Street. This is a digi lo using a kit from Dawn Inskip.

UKS June week 3

This week the challenge was to use photo of animals or  birds in everyday life, lots of embellies, some blue and to concentrate in one area of the page. There are a lot of deer living on the army ranges near us, although we don't often see them, spotted this one on an evening walk along the canal.

New Baby

We have become grandparents for the fourth time, and it is another little boy! Happily, he is healthy! This is a quick digi lo just to showcase the first photo my ds took of him shortly after his birth!

February Week 3 challenge

For this week's challenge we had to have a predominantly black and white lo or use black and white photos, use three photos and a four letter word title. There was to be no red or pink, or love themes!
The first lo I did, below, I realised there was a lot of red in the photos, so thought I'd better do another lo which met all the criteria!
These are both digi lo's using kits by Dawn Inskip.

UKS February Week 1 challenge

For this challenge we had to follow a sketch, a group for the photo, some pink and some stitching. I have done this lo in digi!

January week 5 UKS challenge

My lo for this week's challenge on UKS, there were so many choices I opted for, sketch, subject of friends, 2 colours, doodling, ribbon, not bow although there is a bow on there too and a stamp. This is done in digi using Dawn Inskip's Tinker kit.

UKS January week 4

I have been very remiss about loading my weekly UKS challenge lo's, so here is Week 4, set by the Bijoux Belles! I have gone for the earth colours, though there is red there too!

Tuesday 18 January 2011

On UKS this week Dawn gave us a free mini kit for digi scrapping. It is a lovely kit, that can be used on it's own, or mixed with other elements. I have done this lo using a photo from our 365 weekend last year, two friends messing around!

Saturday 15 January 2011

I'm loving Dawn's new kit, so here's another lo!

Thursday 13 January 2011

This is my version of the lo our crop leader designed for us. Another real life lo! Unfortunately the colours aren't too accurate due to bad light!

I couldn't resist Dawn Inskip's new kit, Snapshots, this morning, and had to have a quick play so here are two lo's done with it.

I don't think I'll be too popular if dd2 sees this lo! Amazing what you catch through a lens!

One real paper lo done at crop! The photo is not good as light is terrible!

Saturday 8 January 2011

Another couple of digi lo's.

Loved this garden ornament, so suitable for ds with his love of cricket, but I don't think he would give it garden room!

Story time for a little boy, dgs2, with his auntie!

Crafty Magpies CJ 2010

Photos of my Crafty Magpie's team CJ done in 2010.
It is a year book, and everyone did pages to cover events of that year.
I still have to add a few photos of my own, and bind it properly.

The front cover.

The opening pages with the theme.

Inside pages, needing some photos still.

Irene's pages, about fashion.

Samm's pages, about the royal wedding.

Claire's pages, about modern photography.

Debbie's pages, about house prices.

Emma's pages, about technology.

Karen's page, the terrible snowy winter!

Vanessa's page, popular film!

Stacey's page, music, there is a cd of songs in the pocket between the pages, pulls out by a ribbon.

Shirley's page, about the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree.

Sign in page.

Another slightly blurry photo so another digi lo, of dgs3 enjoying time without trousers so he can more easily remove his socks to play with his toes, a favourite occupation!

Thursday 6 January 2011

Another digi lo with a photo from the Christmas period, showing dgs1 and dgs3.

I am prepping some real life lo's to do at crop on Sunday!

Wednesday 5 January 2011

The photo of dgs1 is a little blurred but I just loved the attitude, and he was having such fun being Father Christmas for us all!
