Have got behind again uploading my los, but here is this week's challenge from UKS.
Had to use intertwining ribbons, a green/white/pink colour, blossom or apple and follow a sketch! I have managed all of those! The photos were of a horse we came across in a small field near a station!

Just two more!
Don't you just love little boy legs in long shorts!

Dd2 with the "killer look", Mum has her camera trained on me again!

I was in need of a massive catch up on here! At crop last Sunday I did manage quite a few los!
This lo is my "star" of a dh, messing about as usual!

This lo shows dd1 and friend on the steps to Harrods!

Me and my dgs's having fun playing on the Wii!

Mad dd's and sil doing the Time Warp last Halloween! I did 3d the bats but it doesn't show up well here!

As I couldn't find another 6x6 album for my sister I had to resort to making this one, took ages to punch the holes in the page protectors as they kept slipping around!

My lo for April week 2 challenge on UKS, photo is dsil exiting the removal lorry, having at long last moved house!

This lo is for the monthly house challenge on UKS, had to use a funny face, and this one of dd3 certainly fits that bill! Love the cute birdies, got them at Ally Pally last weekend!

Monday, 12 April 2010

This is my lo for April week 1 challenge on UKS. We had a sketch to follow, had to include journalling, distressing and things beginning with B.

Wednesday, 24 March 2010

Lo for week 4 challenge on UKS, we had a choice of three for this week, I went for the one photo, two colours, journal around photo, ribbons and lots of white space option!

Week 3 challenge on UKS, set by my team, the Crafty Magpies! Had to use a sketch, colour green, bird, or related item, and be about man/men in my life!

Monday, 15 March 2010

A good day at crop, managed to get these four los done!

My lo for week 2 challenge on UKS. Had to use fabric, the strip of brown, old stash, no difficulty there, and handmade embellies, the flowers!

Saturday, 6 March 2010

This is my lo for March week 1 challenge on UKS, yet again a digi one! We had to use up to three of the following colours, black, white, grey, blue or pink.Use more than one photo, a song title, lyric or poem, and bling or blooms. I have covered all of these, the title is the first line from a Simon and Garfunkel song. The photos of the sea were taken at Littlehampton on a cold but bright New Years Eve, mad, who goes to the seaside in the winter!!!

Thursday, 4 March 2010

A couple more digi los, I am still experimenting and finding lots of interesting things I can do!

Thursday, 25 February 2010

This week's challenge on UKS, to use a sketch with bright and bold pps, some sewing and ribbon or fabric! I have covered all these in this lo! Again done in digi, wish my paper mojo would come home! Maybe the visit to the Make It show this weekend will make it reappear!

Thursday, 18 February 2010

I seem to have lost my "paper" mojo somewhere so have been playing in digi again!
Week 3 challenge on UKS, to use 10 of something, ribbons, about change, being grandparents, use a fancy edge and use red somewhere! Think I have covered all these!

Catching up, been very remiss about uploading lately!

My entry for the February house challenge on UKS.

February week 2 challenge on UKS.

The February pages for my journal, had to be all about love this month! Again I have managed to only use old stash!

February week one challenge on UKS! I had serious doubts about these slippers but now I love wearing them!

Button Swap

Our UKS team, the Crafty Magpies, recently did a button swap, and look at the gorgeous goodies I received! Thank you!

I have been having great fun playing around with DSA and decided to do this week's UKS challenge in digi, so here it is. Had to use a photo, not person, journalling, ribbon and bling! Also had to use a sketch, which I took from a Creating Keepsakes magazine. Doesn't look as if my bling is showing up too well, but it is there!

Tuesday, 19 January 2010

My lo for January week 3 challenge on UKS. We had to use an old photo and journal about the story or memories. This photo shows my Mum and her sisters, taken circa 1930. I remember many happy hours sitting with Mum going through her photo albums and listening to her telling me about the people, especially her family and their lives.

These are the first two pages for Hedgie's journal, a challenge I am doing with some friends about the adventures of a soft toy throughout the year. I decided to print out the blog entries and use an A4 folder, but now see I will have to do each entry smaller or I will end up with an enormous journal!

Each day we have a prompt to help us take photos, we are all taking turns to write these prompts!

This is a lo I have done using some of a page kit from one of my Magpie teamies! Photos of dd1, who is not the world's greatest cook, but she is getting there with practise!

Took some time away from paper and scissors yesterday and played with Digital Scrapbook Artist, did have fun but havn't really discovered all it can do yet! Did produce these two lo's though!

Another challenge found this year, on the Kathryn Wheel blog, is to keep a calendar throughout the year, a bit like a mini journal! I quite fancied this as have never yet managed to complete a year long journal! Decided to do it A4 size so it can be kept in a file folder. Also decided I would try to use up old stash doing this, hence the use of lots of rub ons here, a packet bought a few years ago and never used! I plan to do each month differently but based on the same style! Already have ideas for February!

Wednesday, 13 January 2010

Starting this month UKS has introduced house challenges each month. The first was to use just one photo and scrap your habits! I have put my journalling on the back of the tags, can you tell I don't want you to know my bad habits!

Monday, 11 January 2010

January week 2 challenge on UKS, to scrap forbidden fruit, use ribbon and flowers or bling! The paper is glittered, My Minds Eye, the ribbon is the original off the box of choccies, and there is bling but it isn't showing up! My dil's father has always brought me a luxh box of choccies at Christmas as we always included him for Christmas lunch, but sadly I missed out this year as they went to him! Probably better for my waistline, and choccies are off the menu after all I have eaten at Christmas!

Been playing around with digi again! Found a free version of Digital Scrapbook Artist, downloaded it and had some fun! DH had an e mail from Serif, with an offer for the full programme so he has ordered it, told me after the event! Looking forward to it coming as everything I tried to do in the free one said upgrade to full version, so frustrating!

Sorry for the quality of these photos, light very bad over last few days!

Photo of me out on a snowy walk! Recycled snowflakes from a Christmas card!

Photo of dd1 on our snowy walk! Now she is 30+ she sees the sense of hats, gloves and scarves, and even wore my wellie boots!

Here's a photo of dd3's scan photo, and the other photo is her with her current favourite food, methinks cause and effect!

Number 52, the final tag for 52Q challenge! I'm so happy I completed this, and nearly always kept up to date!

This week's challenge on UKS was to follow a sketch, use a celebration photo and ribbon, so I used this photo of dgs2's christening. The ribbon is across the lo, and also smaller pieces on each of the small squares.

Monday, 4 January 2010

Hedgie has been too tired, or lazy to do each day of the last week of JYC, but he has done these pages for the 30th, 31st and 1st January. He says he will add a few extra pages of photos taken of him over the Christmas period at a later date! Do we believe him? I think he found the whole experience quite overwhelming, so much to take in but hopefully by next Christmas he will be ready to party again!

Sunday, 3 January 2010

Our Crafty Magpies leader, Karen, on UKS set us a challenge last week, and here is my take on it! Use a photo taken in December, use something bought or given in December, the large tag was in my SS, and at least 3 embellies. Photo shows dd3's partner learning to use his new camera!

Friday, 1 January 2010

Day 26, think Hedgie is about done in for Christmas, and is having a "chill out" day, listening to cds! He is still trying to process and make sense of this Christmas thing!

Tag 51, about the best present I have ever given! Only one more tag to go then I've done the whole year!
