52Q

Here are tags 3&4 for the 52Questions challenge. Had fun doing these, especially the fairy one, but the photo isn't brilliant, it is much more shimmery than it looks!

This is my lo for this week SLYMI challenge, and we had to use black and white, so I went for the B&W photo and card, some embellies and grey patterned papers. The light when I took the photo makes it look a bit blue, but I assure you it isn't! Another photo of my dgs1 taken last May.

Photo of a very tired dgs1 waiting patiently for his meal!
Dgs1 learning to use his new scooter just after Christmas last year!

This week's lo for UKS January week 4 challenge. Had to use a pic of an animal, red, black or gold and some stitching. Managed all three! Photo is dd1's guinea pig who died last year.

This week's lo for Shimelle's challenge, Scrap Like You Mean It. We had a sketch to follow, and I kept very much to it, and kept it simple! Photo is of the frozen canal a couple of weekends ago.

This started life as a plain chipboard address book from Paperchase, I just couldn't leave it like that!

Had another little play with digi last night, used a free download from Rhonna Farrer at 2 Peas. Not a brilliant photo, with that shiny forehead, but typical of dd2 and her dh!

And here is lo3 for SLYMI challenge, using chipboard.

January week 3 challenge on UKS, had to scrap a winter picture with summer colours. This photo shows the ducks sitting on the frozen canal a week ago, as they were nearly under the bridge, the water wasn't frozen there and gave nice reflections.

My week 2 lo for Shimelle's Scrap Like You Mean It challenge on UKS. Had to use hearts or stars, I went for the hearts!

52Q first tags

I decided to do Emily Falconbridge's 52 Questions challenge this year, but will stick to small tags to make it a more manageable project.
Here are the first two tags! My answers to the questions are on the reverse side and as they are personal I will not show them!

This is the lo I have done for this week's challenge on UKS. Piccie is dgs2 on his first birthday eyeing up the candle on his cake!

Three more 6x6 lo's for my sister, piccies are her grandchildren!
I love the first one where they have so obviously been told to smile for the camera!

OK, I should be finishing my Christmas album but I got distracted by this lovely free kit from Scrapdragon and had to have a play!

Pages 30 and 31, nearly there!

More pages for my Christmas album, still very simple, but I still got behind!

Boxing day, and all invited to dd3 for a buffet lunch, then lots of chatter and games!

Christmas Day, much quieter this year for us as didn't have all the family for lunch, but still had fun! And the usual games in the evening, lots of laughter!

Christmas Eve, the build up to the big day! Lots of preparation here!

Page23 - about Christmas stockings! Photos show ours, sadly they have been redundant for a few years now! The very large stocking I made as a joke for dh many years ago!

Monday, 22 December 2008

This is the lovely Maya Road Calendar album I received from Secret Santa on the Crafty Magpies team on UKS! Couldn't have been a better choice as I have a project in mind for next year and this will be perfect for it! Thankyou Santa!

Page 22 - so many things still to do!

Page 21 - about my house not being ready for Christmas!

Page 20 - about postage, cards, stamps and sending and receiving!

Wednesday, 10 December 2008

Pages 9 and 10 for my Christmas journal!

Monday, 8 December 2008

Page 8 - so disappointed today in town, so few decorations up, is this a sign of hard times? But have got some lovely photos of Fortnum and Masons Christmas window displays to do a lo sometime!

Sunday, 7 December 2008

Page 6, good and not so good memories of past Christmases! Luckily not too many bad ones, just sad ones as one by one the parents died and the number at the table grew smaller.
Page 7, Christmas shopping, seems left to the last minute this year, although I would like to be more organised!

Friday, 5 December 2008

Page 4 - journalling my ideal Christmas!

Page 5 - remembering all the silly little things we did with the children when they were small! The advent calendar on the dinner table was important, as was remembering whose turn it was to blow it out!

Wednesday, 3 December 2008

Here's page 3, all about Christmas cards! I'll start to panic soon as I haven't finished making mine!

Tuesday, 2 December 2008

Decided to do Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas, but will keep it simple as still doing 365 challenge each day!
Here is the album cover, the lovely reindeer is recycled from one of last year's cards!
The first page is journalling why I am doing this album! Still keeping it simple!
Page 2 is about the weather, very cold today, but I rushed outside at 7.30 to snap this colourful sunrise!
