Page 8 - so disappointed today in town, so few decorations up, is this a sign of hard times? But have got some lovely photos of Fortnum and Masons Christmas window displays to do a lo sometime!

Page 6, good and not so good memories of past Christmases! Luckily not too many bad ones, just sad ones as one by one the parents died and the number at the table grew smaller.

Page 7, Christmas shopping, seems left to the last minute this year, although I would like to be more organised!

Page 5 - remembering all the silly little things we did with the children when they were small! The advent calendar on the dinner table was important, as was remembering whose turn it was to blow it out!

Decided to do Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas, but will keep it simple as still doing 365 challenge each day!

Here is the album cover, the lovely reindeer is recycled from one of last year's cards!

The first page is journalling why I am doing this album! Still keeping it simple!

Page 2 is about the weather, very cold today, but I rushed outside at 7.30 to snap this colourful sunrise!

A little book I made for ds. The photos are not very good but all we have, taken live at a gig when he played bass guitar with a group called Colony.

More photos sent to me, had to make the pages for dear sister!

More pages for my sister! This time it is her other grandchildren, all dressed up for Halloween!

Have spent a happy few hours playing in PS, pushing buttons and dragging sliders to see what I could do! Came up with this digi lo, very simple but I did create the centre circle and the brads myself. Then I played with some brushes for the swirl, and pushed more buttons to change the text. So much to learn!

Very simple lo for team challenge. No patterned paper used, just ribbon and brad!

This one is "the girls" leaving the hotel ready for the National TV awards show. Not a brilliant pic as they twisted the managers arm to take it!

Pic taken at model railway club, showing Big Boys and their layout in the making! Here I was playing with PS brushes and pushing various buttons to see the effects! Need to go on a hunt for PS brushes to do with trains!

Becky's challenge

A lo for a team challenge set by Becky on UKS. Had to use circles, 10 of something, used brads, and ink! Photo is my dsil showing off his cheeky smile!

Another quick play with digi scrapping. I have used a free kit from Digitalscrapbookplace.com and added some ps brush stitches. I still have so much to learn!

The fourth page about my niece's birthday trip to Uluru, again for my sister's album.

Hurrah! I have finished Shimelle's project Learn Something New Every Day! Here is my covered album, and the inside front and back covers.

I didn't have enough papers from the kit to cover it so found these in my stash, the brown goes with a lot of the inside pages. I have cut out parts of one patterned paper to put on the front.

The brown ribbon bow is from a gift box, donated by dd1.

This lo shows my niece and her dd at Uluru, and is another page for my sister. Sorry, the colours don't seem to have come out so well but it is the same paper as previous lo's.

This is my lo for October week 1 challenge on UKS. We had to use a photo of someone or something inspirational, to me that is nature. This photo was taken on a canal walk one sunny morning in September, just loved the perfect reflection of the bracken in the water.

The final page for Shimelle's Learn Something New Every Day, and I felt satisfaction at having completed each day of this project. Ok, I still have to make the covers and do the intro page and the summary, but I will do that soon! I have thoroughly enjoyed doing this project and look forward to next years! This years book will be great to look back on and I will try to continue learning every day!
